From time to time, we encounter errors on the software we have deployed to the field, especially on brand new procedures. Sometimes it involves a driver - a trigger - even a manual delay. First things first.....
First: DON'T FREAK OUT!
We will help you and we will get it resolved.
Second: Run NIMAX and verify that equipment is responding on the bus. If you run NIMAX and nothing shows up, check your GPIB connection.
Third: Sometimes it is something as simple as rebooting your computer. National Instruments and Keysight both have VISA libraries and it is required for NI's VISA library to load first. Your laptops are equipped with the latest VISA library and are setup to execute the loading of NI first.
Fourth: If your procedure is running all of the test but behaving badly on a couple of parameters - continue to run the test and manually finish off the procedure. For example, if the UUT has 20 parameters it checks for calibration, run all 20 and let us know which of the parameters had problems. i.e. "The program ran great except for AC Volts flatness - the function generator displayed errors on the front panel" This will help us to move quicker to the issue at hand and help to resolve it quickly. Don't post a problem with a description of "Don't work - junk!" Generally not helpful and does nothing to quickly diagnose the problem. We assure you, we take this very seriously and desire to see everyone have bug free procedures and a smooth calibration.
Lastly: Try to have an internet connection handy and be prepared to open AnyDesk with your 9 digit code handy. This will help us to login and view in live time the problems you are encountering.
